宗教、現代性與時間性:禪的當下與日常

    摘要 / 日常生活集中展現了現代性的症候,但是,日常生活又可能成為對抗現代性的一個策源地。這並非是指在日常生活中頑固地保存在著前現代的剩餘物,而是因為線性的、進步的現代時間在日常生活中的獲得支配地位的同時,也悖論地具有了某種重複的、迴圈的形式特徵。因此,今天宗教對日常生活的強調絕非偶然。在日常的重演中,恰恰存在著永恆的宗教時間重回現代世界的可能性。就禪宗而言,其突破口就是“當下”。一旦過去、現在和未來的線性過程被看作是一個個當下的疊加時,其原本的線性特徵在相當程度上就被敉平了。為此,重建對當下的理解就成為日常生活中宗教實踐的一個重點,目標是以使當下取代未來作為自我建構的軸心。   講者 /  汲喆,法國國立東方語言文化學院(INALCO)- 巴黎城市索邦大學(Sorbonne Paris Cité)社會學教授、法國多學科佛教研究中心(CEIB)主任,其主要研究領域包括漢傳佛教與社會變遷、政教關係、宗教教育、宗教全球化以及宗教社會學理論。2014年,他當選法國大學院(IUF)青年院士(membre junior)。近著有Religion, modernité et temporalité: une sociologie du bouddhisme chan contemporain (CNRS Editions, 2016),主編有《二十世紀中國佛教的兩次復興》(與Daniela Campo、王啟元合編,復旦大學出版社,2016),Making…
